Online and mobile banking for your student checking account make it easy to manage your finances, right from your dorm room. You may also use online banking to sign up for our eStatement option within 60 days of opening your student bank account to avoid the monthly maintenance fee. If you don’t choose the eStatement option, you’ll receive a paper statement without images and will be required to maintain a minimum daily balance to avoid the fee. You can opt in to eStatement delivery at any time to avoid having to maintain a minimum balance or pay a monthly fee. You must be an Online Banking customer to sign up for eStatements.

An initial deposit of $50 is required to open a Companion Savings account and the account ownership must be identical to your checking account. You can use this account to automatically transfer available funds to your checking account to cover overdrafts5 and reduce fees.

1A minimum balance of $500 is required to avoid a monthly maintenance fee. If the balance falls below $500 at any time during the monthly statement period a $4 fee may be imposed.

2You must be at least 14 years of age to open an A+ Student Checking account. A parent or legal guardian is required as a signer on the account until the student is 18 years of age, or until enrolled as a college student. A separate authorization and indemnity agreement must be signed at the time the account is opened.

3A debit card may be issued to a minor from 14-17 years of age as long as a parent/legal guardian is a joint account holder. May have a debit card issued in the minor’s name if the minor is the primary account holder. An Authorization for Issuance of a Debit Card must be signed by parent/legal guardian at account opening. Terms apply until minor is enrolled as a college student.
