What to Expect During the Upgrade

To ensure our customers have the support they need during this transition, we are going to onboard in separate groups beginning August 6 through the month of September. Please note that there will be no disruption to your Online Banking at this time.

Enhanced Security for User IDs:

  • Usernames will no longer be case sensitive
    • Example: JohnSmith will now be johnsmith
    • With this change to the security policy within Online Banking, it will create some duplicate User IDs, duplicates will be prompted to update their User ID when they log in for the first time.
  • Usernames may no longer use certain special characters. Click Here to View List
    • You will be notified in advance if your user name includes one of these special characters and will be prompted to update your User ID
  • Passwords will stay the exact same and will continue to be case sensitive.

Preparation for the Upgrade:

  • In the current platform, customers can add notes to transactions. This allows the customer to associate the purchase or transaction with a certain category. Once upgraded to the new platform, the Notes and Categories capabilities will no longer be available. Please print any items from the current platform that you may need for year-end accounting or tax purposes. Once moved to the upgraded platform, you will no longer be able to retrieve the Notes and Category information.
  • If you would like to create a report to save or print any of these transaction details, you may do so by selecting “All,” “Transactions,” and “Banking Report.”

While there will be some changes to your Online Banking experience, many banking services are just business as usual:

  • All previously established bill pay payees, account alerts, recurring internal and external transfers and statement delivery preferences will convert to the new system.
  • It’s important to note that while there will be some enhancements in Online Banking, no changes will be made to the WesBanco Mobile Banking app at this time.
